My Light Card - The front cover carries the quote by Edith Wharton, Novelist 1862-1937 "There are only two ways of spreading the light -- to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it."
A selection of earth tone colors are used for that aid in giving the image of looking through an old church abbey' window. Each card is handcrafted, aged ink is applied to the cover once the layers of materials have been applied to the window cut out. The materials are assembled to simulate looking through a paned window with lace curtain and screen. A variety of colored threads and stitch patterns are used to create the ivy surrounding the windows. Upon opening the card, the scripture Matthew 5:14-26 that
speaks of spreading the light is quoted.
Added sentiment for heartfelt Christmas Wishes are added to a specialty paper with added images of snowflakes round out a beautifully created Christmas card.
