Quilted Coasters
The word "quilt" comes from the Latin culcita meaning a stuffed sack, but it came into the English language from the French word cuilte. While there is no definitive date as to the origin of sewing techniques of piecing and quilting, the earliest known quilted garment is depicted on the carved ivory figure of a Pharaoh of the Egyptian First Dynasty, approximately created in 3400 BC.
Material & Construction Details:
Our Quilted Coasters are made using recycled blue jean pockets with 3 layers of fabric and quilt batting in between. They will totally absorb sweaty, drippy water from a favorite beverage and protect table surfaces...and, they look really cool while doing it. $4.00 each, or 4 for $12.00.
